Empowering Community Members with Disabilities through Skills Development in District Dera Ghazi Khan
USAID SMALL GRANTS AND AMBASSADOR’S FUND PROGRAM
Duration: 6 Months
To improve social & economic conditions of people with disabilities through vocational & entrepreneurial skills training in nine union councils of District Dera Ghazi Khan through:
>>Social mobilization and changing the prevalent mindset and attitude of communities towards disabled members, acknowledging their abilities to become productive members of the society.
>>Skills development training in tailoring & beautician to 70 people with disabilities.
>>Provision of required tool kits comprising of consumable and non-consumable items for practicing the acquired skills at home and start earning income by making clients locally.
USAID/Pakistan has, in cooperation with the USAID Office of Inspector General, established the Anti-Fraud Hotline to provide an avenue for the reporting of fraud, waste, and abuse which may be associated with USAID funded projects in Pakistan. Complaints are handled with complete confidentiality and individuals are encouraged to report when corruption, fraud, waste or abuse may exist in the USAID/Pakistan projects.
